Dr Betty Wamola

Biography and Clinical interests

Dr Wamola is a fully qualified and accredited Paediatrician with a special interest in paediatric infectious disease and developmental paediatrics.

Dr Wamola completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Nairobi in Kenya, her postgraduate training in Paediatrics in the United Kingdom at Alder Hey Children’s hospital in Liverpool, going on to work as a consultant Paediatrician in North West England for two years before moving to Australia in 2015.

Dr Wamola has over 18 years of experience in General Paediatrics in the United Kingdom and Australia, having worked locally at The Townsville Univesity Hospital in both Acute and Community Paediatrics and now consulting at Townsville Paediatrics and the Mater Private Hospital Townsville.
