Our Volunteer Program has more than 60 dedicated volunteers who work at both Hospitals. Our dedicated volunteers are committed to enhancing the Hospital experience for patients and their families.
Our Volunteers contribute their unique skills and life experience across all areas of the organisation, including our Hospitals and non-clinical departments.
Whether it’s offering companionship and support, a cup of tea or a book, escorting people to their destination or providing administrative support, each Volunteer role contributes directly to making sure patients and their families have an exceptional experience at Mater Private Hospital Townsville. We also have Volunteers who assist us on a range of events throughout the year.
Our Volunteers are a multicultural group from diverse social and professional backgrounds. Finding the ‘right’ role for you is important to us. We will work with you to find a role that suits you and also meets the needs of the organisation.
Recruiting for Volunteer positons is ongoing, however it is dependant on vacancies. Once an application is submitted, the Volunteer Coordinator will interview the applicant to guage their experience and suitablity for any vacant roles.
