Biography and Clinical interests
Dr Elise Coghill is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist practising at Mater Private Hospital Townsville.
Dr Coghill completed her Bachelor of Nursing (with first class honours) as well as a PhD at Monash University before completing her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at The University of Melbourne.
She moved to Queensland for specialist training at various hospitals including Gold Coast University Hospital, The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Caboolture Hospital and Townsville University Hospital.
Dr Coghill has been working in Townsville for the past three years, and has established her private practice at Hyde Park.
Dr Coghill worked in Townsville for three years as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Registrar before finishing training in Melbourne. She has now established her private practice in Hyde Park, Queensland.
Dr Coghill’s obstetric care focus is continuity of care and collaboration with the patient’s GP, so women can achieve a safe and healthy pregnancy.
She also performs a range of gynaecological procedures and is particularly interested in menstrual disorders, chronic pelvic pain and dysplasia.
Dr Coghill believes most patients with chronic gynaecological problems benefit from multi-disciplinary care and she looks forward to continuing to work with the medical community in Townsville to achieve the best outcomes possible for the women.
