Crystal Gibbon

As a relative newcomer to the Mater Private Hospital Townsville, Crystal has had an interesting and steep learning curve during the past twelve months.

After eight years working in retail and retail management, Chrystal  decided she needed a career change, and applied for a position as a Ward Clerk at the Mater Private Hospital Townsville.

In this role, Crystal provides administrative assistance to the nursing staff. "I have really expanded my knowledge – I love it, it’s so interesting,’’ she said.  "In fact, one of the first things I thought when I started working in a ward, was that I wish I had studied Nursing."

As a mother of two, Crystal is also studying a Behavioral Science degree.

Spending quality time in the great outdoors with her family is a priority for Crystal. "We are always riding bikes or going down to the beach or park– as long as we are together and outside, we have fun,’’ she said.
